Job Title: Principal Location: Pune Reporting To: Managing Trustee / Director - Schools Job Summary: We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Principal to lead a well-established CBSE school in Wagholi, Pune. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in CBSE curriculum leadership, team management, and innovative school practices. This role requires driving academic excellence, operational efficiency, and holistic student development in line with the values of empowerment, equity, and excellence. Key Responsibilities: Academic Excellence: Lead the effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum across all grades. Integrate NEP 2020-aligned programs, skill-based education, and holistic learning practices. Monitor academic performance through assessments, audits, and necessary interventions. Leadership & Team Building: Mentor and manage academic coordinators, subject heads, and faculty. Foster a collaborative, respectful, and innovative work culture. Oversee performance management, staff appraisals, and continuous professional development. Operations & Compliance: Manage the day-to-day administration of the school in adherence to organizational SOPs. Ensure compliance with CBSE regulations, safety norms, and applicable education policies. Oversee budgeting, infrastructure, and efficient resource management. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective communication with parents through orientations, PTMs, and events. Coordinate with trustees, school board, and regulatory bodies as required. Promote the school’s vision and values to all stakeholders. Student Enrichment: Encourage active student participation in academics, co-curriculars, and leadership opportunities. Establish systems for discipline, emotional well-being, and inclusive practices. Celebrate student achievements through awards, showcases, and publications. Qualifications & Skills: Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant discipline (B.Ed/M.Ed mandatory). Minimum 10 years of teaching experience, with at least 5 years in a school leadership role. Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum, NEP 2020 guidelines, and assessment methods. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Technologically proficient with experience using digital tools in education. Preferred Attributes: Prior experience as a Principal or Vice Principal in a reputed CBSE institution. Exposure to international education frameworks and inclusive education practices. A child-centric mindset with a strong moral and ethical compass. Solid technical background, understanding or hands-on experience in Software development. or DevOps Engineering etc. Intermediate skills with SQL Queries , Hands on with UX and UI instincts. Solid understanding of the product life cycle and scaled Agile Framework. Exceptional communication and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence others and work effectively in a cross-functional team. Excellent soft skills, inter-personal relationship abilities and working in a fast-paced environment. Have a proven track record of shipping user-facing SaaS products. Have a strong technology and/or engineering foundation that drives innovation and vision. Highly organized and capable of working on several projects. Obsess over the details, while also focusing on what comes next. Comfortable making impactful decisions utilizing strong technical experience. Bonus Points if you.... Experience in cloud technologies. Understanding in Cloud Finops. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both in English and Hebrew. Certification in one or more hyperscale cloud provider.
